Default Mic (for vent)

Hi guys! So I'm gonna try to buy a mic so I can actually talk with you while playing. I'm pretty broke so anything very cheap, but functional, would be awesome. Any suggestions are welcome :D

Any of the cheap <$20 Logitech ones work well for the price. I have a Gamecom one that actually split in half a while ago, need to get a new one myself too.

I've pretty much always used a gaming headset. I swear by the sennheiser headsets I've had in the past. For me nothing beats them for comfort, quality, and sound. But they aren't exactly cheap. $30-$40+ for a decent entry level one like this.

Amazon.com: Sennheiser PC 131 Binaural Headset with Volume Control and Microphone Mute: ElectronicsAmazon.com: Sennheiser PC 131 Binaural Headset with Volume Control and Microphone Mute: Electronics

and then upwards to $100+ for ones with a lot of bells and whistles.

Comfort being a huge plus it would be hard to have a long gaming session if I was using headphones that hurt my ears after an hour or so. The sennheiser kind of earpieces above gently rest on your ears rather then cup around them so they don't give you that isolated effect. I can still hear the room around me.

I'm sure you can find quite a few sub $20 or even sub $10 "gaming headset" on amazon or elsewhere but your mileage may vary.

My first headset I believe was a logitech headset that came with the collectors edition of unreal tournament 2004 it was something like this.

Amazon.com: Logitech Stereo Headset H230: ElectronicsAmazon.com: Logitech Stereo Headset H230: Electronics

These rest on the back of your head while sitting on your ears.
They work well enough but they are kinda flimsy and feel cheap, and will probably break if you are less then delicate with them.

i use one almost exactly like this one :

Amazon.com: Labtec C-315 Mono Headset with Boom Microphone/8FT Shielded Cord/3.5 MM Plug: ElectronicsAmazon.com: Labtec C-315 Mono Headset with Boom Microphone/8FT Shielded Cord/3.5 MM Plug: Electronics

its cheap , i only really use it for the mic and wear it around my neck rather then head , i have sound coming out through speakers or earbuds as well.

I don't really use a mic, I'm old school and talk to most people on vent with good old tin cans! Cheap as hell too!

Well if unless you're anger prone (I swear to god I'm not) and just want something functional on a budget, just grab one of those cheapy 10-20 dollar logitech ones.

I wear mine around my neck and have all the sound come out of my speakers so I don't give a shit about how comfy they are just as long as the mic works until I slam it against a wall lol
